Geneva Deploys Websphere
Geneva was "tasked" with the project of making Quantum data accessible from the internet in a secured environment. Our client needed to deploy a web-based solution to serve their customers needs. The project centered around writing java programs to access Quantum data and display the inquiry results as an html page. Companies needed to access their own information on our client's server to lookup billing records, customer account statements, online graphical inventory, online inventory movement, schedules and more.

We first converted Quantum's datafiles from btrieve/ISAM to IBM Db2 tables. We installed Websphere to orchestrate the access to these tables through java server page programs. The data is read-only and only those customers who have access to the records can even see the web menu pages. Geneva deployed MCBA's eQuantum module to activate and maintain password security for the web access pages.

With this technology we can satisfy a broad range of requests from our other customers including on-line production schedules, order entry, stock status inquiries, etc.
