Quantum Windows Style Printing Release 6.02 will introduce a new method for printing Quantum reports -- dynamic selection and assigning of printers through your windows operating system. In the past Quantum has relied on Queued (unix) and non-Queued printer with on/off sequence codes to control pitch and font. These methods will remain intact but will be complemented through the windows printing option. Users will now see a new selection on their print destination options screen: Once you select "Windows Printer" the following screen (which may vary in appearance based on the desktop's actual operating system) will appear: From this screen users will be able to select any printer that the workstation can see through the windows operating system. Quantum will use the actual print drivers loaded for the selected printer and you can print either portrait or landscape, choose any number of copies and print any range or selection of page numbers. Troubleshooting If you only see the Printer Dialog screen once and then it does not appear again you will need to "activate" your Quantum windows printing. Click here to view those steps.
