Greensboro, North Carolina - December 16, 2002 - Geneva Software Company has been awarded a contract by the Washington State Rural Consortium to install Quantum financial accounting software. Quantum will be deployed as part of Creative Socio-Medic's regional behavioral and mental health care solution - AVATAR. The system will be part of a large ASP system and will initially be used by two agencies in different parts of the state of Washington.
The Washington State Rural Consortium (WSRC) is a group of 5 Regional Support Networks (RSN) representing 20 human service agencies in 11 counties throughout the state. WSRC was organized to research, purchase and implement an agreed upon software product for all RSN's and agencies. Each RSN, and each agency within an RSN, will maintain an individual database for data collection, billing, utilization management, and reporting. The RSNs are responsible for ensuring medically necessary services for persons of all ages who are enrolled as members of the prepaid health plan as defined in the state Medicaid waiver.
Tom Vincent, President of Geneva Software Company, said: "We are very pleased to be part of this ASP solution in the state of Washington. Geneva has several customers in that part of the country and we are looking forward to expanding even more throughout the state of Washington and the northwest"
