Greensboro, North Carolina - February 15, 2004 - The Geneva Software Company announces the addition of a North Carolina Area Mental Health organization to it's growing ranks of local customers. The new customer is the Alamance-Caswell Area Authority located in Burlington, North Carolina.

This Area Authority was opened in 1964 and has expanded through the years to include services in three disability areas: mental illness, substance abuse and developmental disabilities. The governing body of the Alamance-Caswell Area Authority is a 20 member Board appointed by the County Commissioners in both counties.

Alamance-Caswell is deploying the Quantum suite of financial modules and will interface with Creative Socio-Medic's AVATAR clinical billing system. Geneva will also be deploying an interface between CSM's MSO Module and Quantum's Accounts Payable module.

Geneva's North-Carolina based mental health clients now consist of:

  • Sandhills Mental Health Center
  • Crossroads Behavioral Healthcare
  • Rowanoke-Chowan Human Services Center
  • Vance, Granville, Franklin, Warren Area Authority
  • Alamance-Caswell Area Authority
  • PORT Human Services

We are very pleased with the addition of Alamance-Caswell to our family of customers in North Carolina. It is one of our goals to duplicate here what we accomplished in Georgia. By growing our local client base we will be able to sponsor more events, attend more conferences, conduct user-group meetings and collaborate with more Area Authority organizations to ensure we address our client's needs"
Tom Vincent, President, Geneva Software Company

Geneva is converting General Ledger data from Alamance-Caswell's "County Based" system. There are actually three different reports / data files that data needs to be extracted from and converted into Quantum's G/L history, Chart of Accounts and Budget Files. Converting legacy data is one of Geneva's strengths and will pose no problem. The other entity that Geneva is automating with the Consumer Job Wage Module is the Vocataional Trades of Alamance - a division/program of Alamance-Caswell Area Authority.

Modules that will be used include General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Purchasing, Fixed Assets & Depreciation, Human Resources and Consumer Job Wage. Users are able to create their own reports through Crystal Reports via Quantum's ODBC drivers.
