El Paso Psychiatric Center Geneva installed Quantum in 1998 when El Paso Psychiatric Center (EPPC) was a "start up" Psych Hospital. Quantum was chosen because it integrated with the clinical billing system they had chosen and it demonstrated features that were critical to the operations of an in-patient psych center. EPPC currently has Quantum deployed on an NT server with the following modules: General Ledger Statistics (Cost Accounting) Accounts Payable Purchasing Fixed Assets (Inventory) Payroll Human Resources System Management AssetDL (Asset Barcode Scanner) EPPC runs General Ledger financial statements from Quantum that include in-patient statistics and cost-per-service information. Quantum's budgeting features are incorporated into the financial reporting so EPPC can see fund balances, projected expense spend rates, current and ytd variances, and percent of budget/fund consumed YTD. There are many cost centers and programs that need to be tracked at EPPC and Quantum organizes them and makes reporting for individual, all or groups of cost centers and programs easy. Fixed Assets are barcoded with labels and scanned for annual counts through Geneva's AssetDL software program. AssetDL is a combination of Telxon barcode scanner and Geneva's software that prompts the user for room numbers. It also includes the interface software that downloads the telxon data into Quantum. Reports are then printed to determine which assets are missing, the value of assets by location and room, asset registers and more. The Purchasing module validates purchase requisitions and communicates with vendors via printed purchase orders. The PO module is interfaced with Accounts Payable so vendor invoices are reconciled with the actual purchase order documents. The Human Resources department keeps track of employee review dates, licenses & permits, service anniversary information and much more. Geneva designed a single-step employment verification screen for EPPC at their request. We have also made several "tactical" modifications to help make our user's jobs as streamlined as possible. The Payroll module calculates payroll for over 600 employees and pays them through checks and direct deposit accounts. The payroll module is integrated with Human Resources so changes need only be made in one department for each employee.
